Doggy Day Out with Acadiana Animal Aid

Acadiana Animal Aid shelters animals in need of homes and works to provide for them until they can find their forever home. Doggy Day Out was designed to provide 1on1 care for each shelter animal and get them away from the stresses of the shelter.
September 30, 2024 4pm-6pm at Acadiana Animal Aid 11 participants Through this program, the dogs are able to destress from their environment and also gives the shelter a chance to promote the adoption of these dogs on different social medias. From social media, they are able to get many dogs and cats forever homes. Without the help of our community, we were able to take many different dogs out of the shelter and provide with snacks and treats they may not usually get in the shelter.
What efforts were used to motivate and involve the organization's members?
The event was heavily promoted at VSOUL events and Instagram. On the other hand, many of our own executive board personally invited their loved ones to participate in this event in order to give back to the community
