VSA-LSU Instagram Dare Live was a funny and engaging event for 11 E-board members, 4 auctionees, and the general members. General members were able to pay a set price for an E-board member or an auctionee to do a dare and it would have been recorded live on Instagram. This Dare Live happened on Thursday, March 13 from 7PM to 9PM. The goal was to raise money via the dares people sent in and it would all be given to UVSA-GC’s CPP for this year, which is Cam On. Some common dares that were performed were pie in the face, tortilla slap, egg head, shots of fish sauce & soy sauce, and ice buckets/ice baths. All the supplies were provided by E-board. This event was advertised mainly on Instagram, in general body meetings, and word of mouth. The event was very successful where everyone enjoyed their time, laughing and having fun. We fundraised a total of $494 during Dare Live!
What efforts were used to motivate and involve the organization's members?
General members were able to pay a set amount for E-board and auctionees to perform dares listed on our graphic.
How did the organization overcome any challenges that arose while planning and implementing the event?
A challenge was keeping the audience entertained and engaged while waiting for dares, setting up dares, and actually performing them. We overcame this by using Milan's commentary and narration during the Live. She would talk to the audience and say Hi to every person that joined and watched the live, as well as reminding them where the funds were going towards, which was Cam On.
