Please explain the idea behind this design and how it was executed. How successful does this design get its message across?
I wanted our t-shirt to represent us and our culture as a whole. The most celebrated holiday we celebrate is Vietnamese New Years. I did snake for year of the snake (2025). Snakes are very misunderstood. People always associate them as evil creatures but in our culture they symbolize prosperity and good fortune and so does a hoa mai tree. Overall, the graphic was supposed to symbolize the luck and foturne VSA-LSU brings to others whether you're Vietnamese or not. I've gained many new friends in VSA and believe that we got tons of luck this year with how successful it has been with our event turn outs! And of course the tiger is to present our school LSU.
