LASO participated in a volunteering event with Second Harvest Food Bank on November 16, 2024. This particular weekend of volunteering benefitted asian community members. Second Harvest Food Bank allowed out members (along with our community volunteers) to sort, package, seal, and box beans that will be distributed to asian communities in need. We had about 10 volunteers helping up of this day. We advertised with volunteering opportunity on our social media!
What efforts were used to motivate and involve the organization's members?
Members were encouraged to volunteer for this event, as its purpose was to give back to the community. We explained that this volunteering opportunity will help OUR asian community, the elderly asian, etc. who are in need of essentials. This is our opportunity to give back to them and show our appreciation for them
