Please explain the idea behind this design and how it was executed. How successful does this design get its message across?
For our 2024-2025 Executive Board photos, we embraced a lighthearted high school stereotypes theme to showcase our team’s vibrant personalities. Inspired by the playful doodles and candid charm of yearbook spreads, we designed a graphic that mimics students scribbling inside a yearbook—complete with personalized "clique names" like "The Science Wiz" and "The Troublemaker" in place of traditional quotes. Each doodle was tailored to the individual, adding a layer of humor and authenticity (think lit up ideas for "The Debate Kid" or peace signs for "The Hippie"). Group photos with classic yearbook captions tied everything together, creating a nostalgic yet fresh vibe. This design perfectly captures our board’s energy: fun, united, and unapologetically themselves. It’s a celebration of both VSA’s tight-knit community and the universal hilarity of high school tropes—with VSA-LSU's own twist.
