Why do you want to be on the Executive Board for UVSA Gulf Coast?

Since I’m graduating, I would like to stay involved in the VSA community and support my underclassmen. Additionally, I want to support the growth and maintenance of our VSA region.

What makes you a qualified candidate for this position? 

As the co-president of MSUVSA, I am experienced in collaborating with a board, attending regular meetings, and maintaining organizational events and member interest. I also do some of the record keeping for financial spendings in our organization and collaborate with our treasurer to keep events within budget. Though I’m less familiar with the responsibilities of a treasurer, I’m eager to learn and adapt to the position.

What do you believe to be your greatest strengths and weaknesses as a leader? Please explain:

I’m a great meditator between people, as I approach conflict with an open mind and calm demeanor. I am also flexible to change and am willing to make sacrifices that will benefit the greater whole. However, I can be indecisive when it comes to tough choices, and I lack the assertiveness to make strict boundaries. I am learning from past mistakes and am working on improving these weaknesses!

What is your vision for this position, as well as for UVSA Gulf Coast?

I want to see our region thrive, not just survive! I hope that I can contribute to something great that will last beyond us.
